During the Holiday Season, my family and I took a trip to the Orlando Florida Area to celebrate my daughters 7th birthday. After browsing through the photos, I decided I would share our experience at the Sheraton Vistana Resort.
While on our trip, we not only visited the Downtown Celebration Now Snowing Event, but made reservations to eat lunch at the American Girl Doll Store at the Florida Mall as well as a doll hair makeover as a gift to my little girl.
Since we have traveled to Orlando multiple times with our family of 5, the adults have learned that we do best when we stay at a property that provides a full kitchen, has multiple rooms, as well as multiple bathrooms.
With this knowledge, Hubby took charge of our accommodations and booked a stay at the Sheraton Vistana Resort in a Two Bedroom Villa in the Cascades Phase.
Now according their site, Sheraton Vistana Resort states that this room can accommodate up to 8 guests. This is based on 2 Full Size Beds, a King, and a pull out sofa in the living room.
I was very pleased with this location, the scenery, and the security set up at the entrances. Plus, this property is around 6 miles from Walt Disney World, 5 miles from SeaWorld, and 9 miles from Universal Studios.
Our stay was short and the weather was rainy, so we did not really get an opportunity to check out the property amenities.
However, I do know that they have a large pool area, mini golf, tennis, as well as a gym available to patrons.
Our limited visit did not keep us from having fun on site though and we did enjoy dinner and a delicious breakfast buffet at Zimmie’s Bar & Grill.
Plus, my 2 younger kiddos had a great time exploring the Arcade area located in the same building.
In addition, we shopped at the onsite store called “The Market Place“ and I was impressed by the affordability as well as the variety of groceries offered.
This market was in walking distance of our villa, so I picked up frozen treats “Sponge Bob” for the kids to snack on back at the room.
As for the 2 Bedroom Villa, it was spacious, updated and clean, and my kiddos were really excited by the large Whirlpool Tub in the Master Bathroom/ Bedroom.
I liked that it also had an adjacent shower, plus there was another full bathroom attached to the second bedroom.
I hope to visit the Sheraton Vistana Resort in the future since we are investing in an annual pass to Universal Studios. Maybe next time we can really take advantage of the amenities, and I would be happy to eat a couple more breakfast buffets at Zimmie’s Bar & Grill.

Hopefully our experience can provide helpful insight for other large families planning on visiting the area.
