I was given kits with Glob Colors All Natural Paints to review from the KIWI Shop. When I opened the box I found a recipe for a Homemade Play Dough Recipe inside.
Ironically I have been talking about trying to make this at home for years and after seeing how simple it was, I decided to give it a try.
Final result was it turned out great and was so easy make. Check out how I did it below.
Play Dough Recipe
Ingredients:
1 1/2 Cups of Flour
1 1/2 Cups of Water
3/4 Cup of Salt
1 1/2 Tbsp Cream of Tartar
1 1/2 Tbsp Cooking Oil
Directions:
Combine ingredients in a pan (preferably non-stick) and put on medium to low heat.
Stir until mixture forms into a dough ball. Allow it to cool and knead on a floured work top.
When cool, divide dough into 6 palm-sized balls.
Add 1/4 – 1/2 tsp of the Glob color powder to each. Add color slowly and work through until color is fully mixed.
We added the color by putting each ball into a plastic bag and scooping the color into it.
I then pushed all the air out, sealed, and handed them to my kids to mix around in the bag.
Once all the color was stuck to the dough, we took them out and continued to knead in the color.
Once all the color was mixed in, the kids were ready to play with the dough. I was excited because it was the right consistency and worked out great.
