Easy Peppermint Sugar Cookies Recipe!

Peppermint Sugar Cookies Recipe

Looking to make a delicious and festive dessert for Christmas? Then you will want to take a look at my Easy Peppermint Sugar Cookies!

This was an experiment gone right, and they have become popular with my kiddos. Making them only requires a few adjustments to a Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Pouch mix as well as adding in Stripy Sweets. Now because they turned out so good, I plan on passing these out at school and various other Holiday functions.

Ingredients to make Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Mix

To recreate these Easy Peppermint Sugar Cookies, details are below. (Makes 36)

Ingredients:

Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie 17.50 oz Pouch Mix

1 Egg

1/3 Cup of Softened Butter

1 Tbsp of All Purpose Flour

15 Crushed Stripy Sweets

Stripy Sweets in packages

Directions:

First preheat the oven to 350 degrees.  Then crush 15 Stripy Sweets.

Tip: I used the bottom of a coffee mug to lightly apply pressure on the candies against a plate. For less mess, do this while they are still in the package.

Crushed Stripy Sweets

Then in a bowl I combined the Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Pouch, Flour, and crushed Stripy Sweets with a spoon.

Next I added the egg, butter, and I used a mixer.  I then formed the mix into a dough ball.

From there I took 1 tablespoon portions and rolled them each into a ball. I placed these on top of parchment paper above my cookie sheet spacing them at least 2 inches apart.

I then placed them in the oven for 9-11 minutes until done. (Personally I preferred them at 9 minutes since it is softer cookie). Once cooled completely, store in an airtight container.

  24. Oh I would love to make the Easy Peanut Butter Cookie Cups! One tip that I use every month...is to make your cookie dough...then I freeze it on the cookie pan....and put in baggies to bake later in the month! I love to freeze first...because then when I put in the baggie they do not lose their shape!
