Chili Tacos With An Avocado Lime Sauce

Are you looking for recipes to serve during the BIG GAME day festivities?  If so, check out these delicious tacos I created for my family!

Over the weekend I made Chili Tacos With An Avocado Lime Sauce, and they were quick to prepare and had a delicious flavor. In fact my daughter loved the sauce so much she said to me, “Momma, I just want to keep putting my finger in that sauce”.

Ingredients for Chili Tacos With An Avocado Lime Sauce

Thanks to Old El Paso, Avocados from Mexico, and Publix, I was able to pick items up for this YUMMY dish along with an extra Ripe Avocado for chips and dip.

Be sure to grab your favorite Game Day Foods in store, as well as redeem a coupon for a $1.00 off when you purchase 3 Old El Paso Products! Available for a limited time.

Ingredients for Avocado Lime Sauce

To create the Avocado Lime Sauce you will need the following:

Ingredients:

1 Ripe Hass Avocado

1/4 Cup of Sour Cream

1/2 of a Lime

1/4 Tsp of Garlic Powder

1/4 Tsp of Salt

Avocado Lime Sauce

Directions:

Squeeze the lime first into a bowl and then mash the Avocado. Next combine all the ingredients completely.

This can be served immediately or stored in the refrigerator until ready to serve. FYI, we had left overs and the sauce was still good the next day.

Filling for Chili Tacos

Next, prepare the Chili tacos. Simply follow the directions on the Old El Paso Hard Taco Kit (You may also see it in-store as Hard Taco Kit or Crunchy Kit), however once the Ground Beef is cooked add in 1 – 15.5 oz  Can of No Salt Light Red Kidney Beans.

Tip: I placed my Taco Shells in a small casserole dish upright, added the meat and beans, topped with shredded lettuce, and put around 2 tsps of Avocado Lime Sauce on each.

Chili Tacos

I then placed this on the table and the Tacos were ready to be picked up an eaten by my husband and the kiddos.

Just like this dish, I am all about keeping Game Day simple. With smaller children I try to have plenty of finger foods like fruit, veggie trays, desserts such as cookies and brownies, as well as home made dips like Guacamole for chips.
